Melinda Dishaw started taking college level master classes in high school on piano and attended workshops of many varieties at a young age. She started teaching adult students at this time as well and accompanied the Clark College Choir for several years. Since 1992 she has taught students of all ages and was the Kindermusik educator and program director for another local area music store. Melinda has performed for the Dalai Lama at both the Chiles Center and Veterans Memorial Coliseum. Many hours have been spent organizing and managing, teaching and designing curriculum for young kids through Tuneful Tots, Baby Bach’s, and Melody Makers piano prep. All students are taught theory and technique. Each student is unique, and she approaches them with their own learning style and musical goals. Melinda also was the music director for many churches and music ministries and coordinated choirs and special music arts programs for elementary school children. Kids with special needs are welcome with ‘Miss Mindi,’ as she takes great care with providing a safe and fun learning enviroment for each student.
